Builder Rebates

The purpose of the Energy Conservation Program (ECP) for new construction is to provide an incentive for builders to install natural gas appliances in residential dwellings. Rebates will be applied to builder accounts when a qualified natural gas appliance is installed in new residential housing in our service territory.

Overview of the Rebate Process:

    • Builders must submit the Rebate Request to YCNGA indicating the appliance type, make, model and serial number. Please submit the request as soon as appliances are installed. Requests may be denied if request is not submitted within 45 day of the meter set date.

    • YCNGA will send a technician to verify the installation of the appliance(s).

    • The rebate will be applied to the builder's account at the beginning of the month following verification of the installation of the appliance. Generally the rebate credit will be applied by the 10th of the month.

With a customer base of about 57,000 and a service area of 682 square miles, we realized our fleet was contributing to the problem. When we coupled that with the knowledge we also had a cheaper fuel right under our feet, the question went from, "Are we going to do this?" to, "How many vehicles can we do?".  More...
