Rates

Applicability
Applicable to residential customers who use natural gas year-round. Examples of year-round use include but are not limited to water heating, clothes drying and cooking. Under this rate schedule, residential customers are required to use a minimum of nine (9) therms per billing period. If the customer does not use nine (9) therms in a billing period, the customer will be billed for the required minimum consumption.

Minimum Consumption Charge
Under this rate schedule, residential customers who do not use the required minimum consumption (9 therms) in any billing period will be billed for consumption equal to the energy charge per therm multiplied by the minimum consumption of nine (9) therms

General Residential Rate (Rate 20)

Availability
Available to all residential customers serviceable within the Authority's service area.

Applicability
Applicable to all residential customers who use natural gas on a seasonable basis or do not qualify for the preferred rate. It is the responsibility of the customer to notify the Authority if appliances are added that would qualify the customer for the preferred rate.

Unmetered Gaslight Rate

Availability
Available to all residential customers serviceable within the Authority's service area.

Applicability
Applicable to all customers who use natural gaslights without a meter being installed.

Public Building Rate (Rate 30)

Availability
Available to all customers serviceable within the Authority's service area who use natural gas and whose facilities serve governmental purposes. Service shall not be supplied under this rate to any institution operated for profit.

Applicability
Applicable to all customers whose facilities serve governmental purposes desiring service under this Rate Schedule. Customers are not subject to sales tax.

Charitable, Religious and School Rate (Rate 35)

Availability
Available to all customers serviceable within the Authority's service area who use natural gas and whose facilities serve charitable, religious and school purposes. Service shall not be supplied under this rate to any institution operated for profit.

Applicable to all charitable, religious and school customers. Customers are subject to sales tax.

Commercial Rate (Rate 40)

Availability
Available to all commercial customers serviceable within the Authority's service area.

Applicable to all commercial customers desiring service under this Rate Schedule. All customers are subject to sales tax.

Small Industrial Firm Rate (Rate 50)

Availability
Available to customers serviceable within the Authority's service area. This rate to be available only to customers who contract for twelve (12) consecutive calendar months of service each year.

Applicability
Applicable to customers desiring firm service under this Rate Schedule who execute a contract for service hereunder for not less than twelve (12) consecutive months and from year-to-year thereafter. This Rate Schedule is applicable only to those industrial customers whose consumption requirement is less than ten thousand (10,000) therms per month. If applicable, and if the Authority is provided with a copy of their Retail License, Resale Tax Exemption Certificate or Wholesale Exemption Certificate, the customer shall be sales tax exempt.

Large Industrial Firm Rate (Rate 55)

Applicability
Applicable to customers desiring firm service under this Rate Schedule who execute a contract for service hereunder for not less than twelve (12) consecutive months and from year-to-year thereafter. This Rate Schedule is applicable only to those industrial customers whose consumption requirement exceeds ten thousand (10,000) therms per month. If applicable, and if the Authority is provided with a copy of their Retail License, Resale Tax Exemption Certificate or Wholesale Exemption Certificate, the customer shall be sales tax exempt.

Interruptible Rate (Rate 60)

Availability
Available to all customers serviceable within the Authority's service area who execute a contract for interruptible service hereunder for not less than twelve (12) consecutive calendar months. A customer taking service hereunder must have an alternate fuel capability or be willing to discontinue natural gas service during periods of curtailment or interruption.

Applicable to customers desiring interruptible service under this Rate Schedule who execute a contract for service hereunder for not less than twelve (12) consecutive months and from year-to-year thereafter. This Rate Schedule is applicable only to those industrial customers whose consumption requirement is less than ten thousand (10,000) therms per month. If applicable, and if the Authority is provided with a copy of their Retail License, Resale Tax Exemption Certificate or Wholesale Exemption Certificate, the customer shall be sales tax exempt.

Character of Service
Gas sold under this Rate Schedule shall be sold on an interruptible basis and shall be subject to curtailment in whole or in part upon two hours' notice to the customer, except for curtailments occasioned by Force Majeure or conditions beyond the control of the Authority in which event the customer shall be given only such notice as is practical under the circumstances.

Interruptible Competitive Rate

Applicability
Applicable to customers desiring interruptible service under this Rate Schedule who execute a contract for service hereunder for not less than twelve (12) consecutive months and from year-to-year thereafter. This Rate Schedule is applicable only to those industrial customers whose consumption requirement exceeds ten thousand (10,000) therms per month. If applicable, and if the Authority is provided with a copy of their Retail License, Resale Tax Exemption Certificate or Wholesale Exemption Certificate, the customer shall be sales tax exempt.

Energy charge
The energy charge shall be the rate which each customer shall be required to pay, on a unit cost basis, for natural gas consumed during the billing period. The unit energy charge shall be based on the competitive cost of the customer's alternate fuel as agreed to by the customer and the Authority.

Compressed Natural Gas Rate (Rate 80)

Availability
Available to all customers who desire to purchase natural gas for use in natural gas powered vehicles from the Authority.

Applicability
Applicable to all customers who use compressed natural gas in natural gas powered vehicles. Service under this schedule is subject to all lawful orders, rules and regulations of duly constituted governmental authorities having jurisdiction over either or both the Authority and the Customer.

Character of Service
Gas sold under this Rate Schedule shall be sold to any customer desiring natural gas for natural gas powered vehicles.

Monthly Rate
Energy charge per therm $0.975

In addition to the energy charge shown, the Authority shall recover from the customer all applicable federal, state and local fuel taxes associated with compressed natural gas used in natural gas powered vehicles.

What can you expect when you enter our new building?

You will be greeted by our receptionist. If you are making a payment the receptionist will direct you to the teller window. All other visitors will be asked to sign in at the customer kiosk for Customer Service and Sales. The customer kiosk allows our Customer Service and Sales Reps to be alerted that you are in the waiting area and the reason for your visit. The next available representative will then assist you. New customers will fill out their application for service at the kiosk.
